Richard was just selected Head Photographer by The Vintage Indy Registry to cover historic racing events around the country. Always find the unusual and unexpected, find a deep more pronounced angle and view. Show the viewer something from a viewpoint they hadn't imagined.
Jeff Grill will be the Juror for 3-Dimensional and Multi Media works.
Jeff Grill is a retired architect and an active and award-winning wood turner. He began his artistic journey turning bowls on a homemade lathe in 2002. His love of turning wood was established in those early years although limited to bowls and platters. The lathe freed him from making premeditated wood boxes to creating intuitive curved wooden objects.
In about 2006 he discovered that his architectural education provided him with an intuitive sense of design and proportions and the ability to sketch and envision his works in 3D. For the last few years some of his wood turnings have become composed of more than wood and more complex creations.
Jeff received both his BA and MA in Architecture from the University of Michigan and since becoming an avid woodturner has furthered his education by attending many immersion classes with world-class turners at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts. He is also the founder and former President of the Grand River Woodturners Guild. He has had may works accepted into the Festival Regional Arts Exhibition, ArtPrize, and many other shows throughout Michigan.
Jeff retired in 2015 and has focused on artistic turned wood and sharing with others the joy and unlimited potential of woodturning.
Grill said, “I appreciate and strive to create works that are visually pleasing, thoughtful, while dynamic and intriguing.”
