Zoom Party Captains!
Thanks for saying yes to Festival! We are so pleased you are volunteering to host a Zoom SGTP (Social Giving Team Party) with seven of your friends. It’ll be great fun, simple and super supportive of Festival of the Arts. Plus you all get to decide what your collective giving will fund together!
Everything you need to be successful a Zoom SGTP Captain is available on this page. Jane Timmer and Samantha Searl, Social Giving Party Co-chairpersons, can answer any question or provide assistance for your event. Our goal is to make this as easy as possible.

Historically, we hosted a table luncheon with everyone gathering in the same room for a light lunch, a presentation, and a dedicated volunteer/artist sharing a story about Festival and its lasting impact. With Covid restrictions, we thought this SGTP approach would be a fun way to share the energy and excitement that Festival generates. We trust you’ll recognize that this year’s Festival must be different in order to ensure everyone’s safety. This virtual Zoom Social Giving Party is part of that change. Of course, we’re here to help.

Please schedule your ZOOM SGTP some time between March 15 and April 30. After your SGTP happens, head back to this page, click the link below and fill in the pledges you secured and the name of your group.
Once your friends commit to a pledge at the SGTP, we can send them an email for payment either online at festivalgr.org, or have them send a check to Festival of the Arts PO Box 68440 Grand Rapids, MI 49516-8440. Please help us by reminding and then thanking them for their generous gift! We will follow up with an email to you our fearless captains, with a total amount raised and the funniest group name chosen by our Hilarity Jurors from LaughFest!
Lastly, we would love to have you join us on Friday, June 4 at 5:00 PM as we thank all of the SGTP participants during a special streamed event recognizing Fred and Gina Bivins as the inaugural recipients of the Bivins Legacy Award. And be sure to remind team friends to stream the Zoom Party recognition ceremony on June 4th as well.
