Submissions: Each teacher can submit up to 5 pieces of artwork on behalf of their students. Please limit the size of artworks to 30”x30″ maximum, no 3D pieces will be accepted. Please complete this form by May 21st to allow time to create labels for the artworks prior to the installation School Districts and/or students must be in Kent , Ottawa, Muskegon, Newaygo, Montcalm, Ionia, Berry, or Allegan County to be eligible to enter the Festival 2023 Youth Art Competition. Please make sure you have adult permission to enter artwork into the show.
Display: Artworks must be mounted to a rigid backer (such as cardboard/foam core) and matted, preferred. Acetate wrapping is not required.
Awards: We are lucky to partner with Grand Valley State University’s Department of Visual and Media Arts to sponsor our awards. We will be having TWO awards for each elementary, middle, and high school levels (6 total).
Please print responses from the email response after submission to attach to the back of each artwork. Create a new entry for each piece.
All artwork will be on display on the skywalk at DeVos Convention Center from May 30th- June 17th. Artist reception will be Thursday, June 1st from 5-7pm. Artwork can be collected on or after June 17th.
